Daytime Power & Energy Security
The **Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM)** is a national solar initiative launched by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The scheme is designed to de-dieselize India's farming sector, reduce irrigation costs, and provide grid-tied daytime electricity to rural farmers.
At **Shivansh Growpro Private Limited**, we assist farmers, land cooperatives, and agricultural developers across **Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka**. We handle land feasibility tests, documentation, bank loan support, MNRE-approved pump installations, and DISCOM net-metering synchronization.
Scheme Fast Facts
- Scheme Available Till: 31.03.2026
- Financial Subsidies: Up to 60% combined Central & State
- Farmer Share: Only 10% upfront payment
- Bank Finance: Up to 30% low-interest loan options
- Feeder Solarization: Complete agricultural feeder line integration
Three Components of PM-KUSUM
Designed to address decentralized power grids, off-grid water pumps, and grid-connected system solarizations.
Decentralized Grid-Connected Plants
Install ground-mounted or stilt solar power plants (from 500 kW up to 2 MW capacity) on barren, fallow, or cultivable lands. Farmers can lease land to developers for fixed rental returns.
- Target: 10,000 MW total grid capacity
- Feed-in Tariff (FiT) paid by DISCOM
- Generates Rs. 6.6 Lakh/MW yearly lease
- Perfect for local cooperatives & panchayats
Standalone Solar Water Pumps
Install highly subsidized standalone solar agricultural pumps (up to 7.5 HP capacity) in off-grid locations where grid lines are unavailable or diesel pumps are currently running.
- Target: 14 Lakh off-grid standalone pumps
- 60% total subsidy (30% MNRE + 30% State)
- Farmer pays only 10% upfront capital
- Lowers agricultural diesel expenses
Grid-Connected Pump Solarization
Solarize existing grid-connected agricultural water pumps. Farmers use clean solar energy to power pumps during the day and sell all surplus power back to the DISCOM.
- Target: 35 Lakh grid-connected pumps
- Solarize up to 2x capacity of pump size
- Earn income via Net-Metering feedback
- Includes Feeder-Level Solarization support
Applicant Criteria
To qualify under the PM-KUSUM program, applicants must meet the following basic criteria:
- Individual farmers, groups of farmers, or land owners.
- Registered agricultural cooperatives, WUAs, and panchayats.
- Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).
- Ownership of barren or cultivable agricultural land (Component A).
- An active grid pump connection (Component C).
Documents to Prepare
- Identity: Aadhaar Card scan
- Land Proof: Pattadar Passbook / Land Ownership Deed
- Lease Agreement: Lease NOC (if leasing for Component A)
- Utility Details: DISCOM Connection bill (Component C)
- Subsidy Registry: Active Bank Account passbook copy
How We Assist Farmers & Developers
We streamline the complex engineering, DISCOM synchronization, and subsidy claim procedures.
Feasibility & Surveys
We conduct on-site soil structure, groundwater depth, and shadow-free layout surveys to recommend optimal solar capacity configurations.
Documentation Support
We handle all application uploads on state portals, registration details, bank subsidy mappings, and technical parameter submissions.
MNRE Erection Works
We deploy qualified civil-electrical technicians to cast concrete structure plinths, erect hot-dip galvanized structural mounts, and terminate cabling.
Utility Grid Sync
We coordinate net-metering testing, bi-directional meter setups, safety relay certifications, and power purchase agreements (PPA) with DISCOMs.
